The Daily Journal, Vineland NJ Tuesday, July 4, 2006 ANNA M. KERNAN, 73 Homemaker, Elmer resident Anna M. Kernan, 73, of Elmer died Sunday, July 2, 2006, at home with her family by her side. She had been in declining health for the past two years. Born in Bridgeton, the daughter of the late Harold and Maude Holton Garrison, she was the wife of George O. Kernan. She had been an Elmer resident for 51 years and prior to that had lived in Bridgeton. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and entertaining her family. She also enjoyed country music and dancing with her husband. She was a member of the Bridgeton High School Class of 1950 and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Deerfield Elks Lodge. A loving grandmother, she always went out of her way to put others first. Mr. and Mrs. Kernan shared their 53rd wedding anniversary this past June 6. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy M. Craner. In addition to her devoted husband of 53 years, George, she is survived and will be deeply missed by her children, Marsha Stefano and her husband Joe of Millville, and Brian Kernan and his wife Karen of Ferrell; her brother, John Garrison and his wife Ann of Upper Deerfield Township; and two grandchildren, Erica Lamond and Zachary Kernan. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77 in Upper Deerfield Township. Burial will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Township. Friends may call from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
