Sullivan County Democrat Callicoon, NY 1 Dec 2006 Annabelle Lake Homemaker, 100 Annabelle Lake of Roscoe, a homemaker and lifelong resident died Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at the Roscoe Community Nursing Home in Roscoe. She was 100. The daughter of the late Ralph and Edna Finnegan, she was born February 23, 1906 in Apex. Annabelle was a member of the United Church of Roscoe and a former member of the Cooks Falls-Horton Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. In a family statement, it was said, "Her family was her world. She was a wonderful and loving mother and she will be greatly missed." Survivors include seven daughters, Dorothy Pherreigo of Bullhead City, Ariz.; Barbara Cromie; Virginia Wakeman and her husband, Russell; Rosemary Fassberger and her husband, George; and Alice Meyers, all of Roscoe; Sharon Keene and her husband, Ron, of Cooks Falls; and Carol Gerow and her husband, Tom of Cary, N.C.; three sons, Tom Lake and his wife, Rosanne, of Roscoe; William Lake of Roscoe, and Donald Lake and his wife, Marsha, of Walton; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Jackson of Oneonta; 26 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Howard P. Lake, in 1973; and a daughter, Joyve Bury, in 2006. Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 30 at Harris Funeral Home, Roscoe. Lucille Freyer officiated. Committal services and burial will be held Friday, Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. in the Cooks Falls Cemetery. Memroial contributions may be made to the United Church of Roscoe; to the Residents' Christmas Fund at Roscoe Community Nursing Home; or to the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Cooks Falls-Horton Fire Company.
