LAKOS JR., 74 GIRARD - Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at McClurkin Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. in St. Rose Church for Anthony M. Lakos Jr., 74, of 963 Dravis Ave., who died Tuesday morning in St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown. Mr. Lakos was born April 9, 1925, in New York, N.Y., a son of Anthony M. and Mildred Monica Lakos Sr. He retired in 1984 as a heavy equipment operator, working 30 years out of Operating Engineer Local 66 in Youngstown. He was a member of the church, was a Korean War Army veteran, and enjoyed sports. He leaves his wife, the former Kathryne V. Hoffman, whom he married Aug. 31, 1957; three daughters, Mrs. Kimberly M. Beach of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Sherry M. Johnson and Mrs. Hedi M. Redmond, both of McDonald; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Abram of Renton, Wash., and Mrs. Kathi Tascarella of Long Island, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. His stepfather, John Livich; a son, Anthony M. III; and a sister, Ms. Dorothea Schoenmann, are deceased. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
