Arlene Workman

Arlene Workman, 68, of Lincoln died at 3:09 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4,
2003, at her residence.  Mrs. Workman worked 30 years at Lincoln
Developmental Center before she retired.  She was a member of Lincoln
Christian Church.  She was born May 13, 1935, in Chestnut, the daughter
of Lloyd and Georgiabelle Bradway Lakin.  Survivors include one son,
William G. Workman of Lincoln, one brother, Michael Lakin of Mount
Pulaski, and seven grandchildren.  A son and two brothers preceded her
in death.  Mrs. Worman was cremated. Her memorial service will be at 2
p.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln, with Tom
Gerdts officiating.  Burial will be in Lawndale Cemetery at a later date.
There will be no visitation.  Memorials may be made to the education fund
for the children of Michael Workman at Union Planters Bank in Lincoln.
