South County Journal, Kent WA, 28 Oct 1999 In Loving Memory of Audrey V. O'Dell Former Ravensdale resident Audrey V. O'Dell went to be with the Lord on Ocotber 16, 1999 in Gresham, OR. She was born on September 3, 1916 in Bridgeport, IL, and married Donald H. O'Dell on April 12, 1936. After marriage she and the family moved between California, Idaho, Illinois, Alaska and Washington. She lived in Ravensdale from 1960 until poor health in 1989 forced her and her husband to move next door to their elder daughter, Helen Linhart, in Boring, OR. Audrey was a homemaker who loved reading her Bible, planting and tending flowers of all kinds, camping, fishing, and attending family gatherings. From the age of 12 she was a devoted and gentle Christian woman who loved everyone and turned away no one. Audrey was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Donald H. O'Dell, in 1991. She is survived by her brother, George Lake, of Marshall, IL; daughters, Helen Linhart of Boring, OR, and Rozanna Taylor, of Enumclaw, WA; son, Donald K. O'Dell, of Covington, WA; 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. O'Dell's hope was that we remember and worship, not how she loved and dedicated her life, but Who she loved and served. Her desire was not to be eulogized by any services or memorials. Final arrangements were made by Gresham Funeral Chapel, or Gresham, OR.
