LAKE, Basil Munroe - 78, Walton, Hants Co., where he resided with
nephew, Terry (Brandi) Lake and Ross and Tiffany, died August 3, 2000,
in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born August 10, 1921, in East
Walton, he was a son of the late Phillip and Myrtle (White) Lake. He
worked as a woodsman most of his life and also as a farmer enjoying his
animals. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Surviving are brothers,
Dennis (Jean) Lake, Melvin (Margaret) Lake, all of East Walton; sisters,
Marjorie (Eugene) Wood, Walton. He was predeceased by brother, Chester,
Sammy, and Marsdon in infancy; sisters, Marlene, Phyllis and Evelyn in
infancy. Visitation Sunday, August, 6, 7-9 p.m., funeral service Monday,
August 7, at 2 p.m., both in J.Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Summerville,
Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. Interment in Tennecape Cemetery,
Tennecape. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society.
