    Bernice H. Thorp, 97, of Richland, died Thursday at Kadlec Medical
Center.
    She was born in Cloverland, Wash., and lived in the Tri-Cities
since 1948.
    She was a homemaker.

    Bernice (Mimi) Thorp, 97, of Richland, died Thursday, Jan. 22 at
Kadlec Medical Center.
    She was born in Cloverland, Wash., and lived in the Tri-Cities
since 1948.
    She was a telephone operator at the army base north of Richland.
    She welcomed those stationed at the base to her home for a reminder
of family and good home cooking. She was a lifetime member of the Richland
Kennel Club, with several Championships during her sponsorship.
    She is survived by her daughter Marilyn Thorp, Scappose,
OR; her daughter Mary Carolyn Crawford's children, Kim Crawford,
Jeff & Judy Childs, Chuck & Lisa Jones and Christopher Crawford; her
great-grandchildren Brandon Childs, Emily Childs, James Crawford, Sarah
Jones and William Crawford.
    She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her husband,
William Patrick, her son William Patrick Jr., her second husband Clarence
Thorp and daughter Mary Carolyn Crawford.
    She was laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Richland. She loved
much, and was much loved.
    She will be greatly missed.
