Born in Cheverie, Hants Co., she was a daughter of the late James and Mildred (Ross) Weatherbee. She is survived by daughters, Leah (Raymond) Carson, Windsor; Wanda (Hedley) Ainslie, Falmouth; grandchildren, Scott (Korena) Carson, Shelley (Glenn) Young and Michelle (Scott) Blue, Wade (Lori) Ainslie and Jackie Ainslie; great-grandchildren, Maye, Matthew, Mark and Makayela Carson; sisters, Evelyn (Glendon) Dorman, Lower Sackville; Mary (Merton) Brown, Cheverie; Marie (Everett) Webb, Rawdon; brothers, Charles "Buzz" (Farris), Walton; George "Sonny" (Marg), Ellershouse. She was predeceased by husband, Embert "Bud" A. Lake; son, Gary and wife Becky; sister, Margaret Dalrymple; brothers, Raymond "Chubb" Weatherbee, James "Jimmy" Weatherbee. Cremation has taken place. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Monday, January 15, in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King St., Windsor, where funeral service will be held in the chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2001, with Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. Urn burial in the Centre Falmouth Cemetery, Falmouth, with a reception to follow. Family flowers only, donations in her memory, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
