Lake of Harry Wells Road and formerly of Warwick, R.I., died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at the home of her daughter, Barbara O'Reilly. She was 89. An area resident since 1976, she attended St. John the Evangelist Church in Centerville. She was predeceased by her husband, Palmer Lake. Born Jan. 31, 1910, in Providence, R.I., she was a daughter of the late William and Mabel LaParl Avery. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara O'Reilly of Saugerties and Beverly DeWare of Branson, Mo.; a son, Palmer Z. of Holiday, Fla.; three sisters, Gladys Allen, Dorothy Horigan and Marjorie Goodwin, all of Rhode Island; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral procession will form Saturday at 9:15 a.m. at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, corner of John and Lafayette streets. It will proceed to St. John the Evangelist Church, where at 10 a.m., at Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by the Rev. James Derrenbacher. Burial will follow in Blue Mountain Cemetery.
