Newark - Bessie E. Lescallet, 86, of 62 Third St., S.E., died at 2:43 a.m.
Monday, April 5, 1999, at the Heath Nursing Home and Convalescent Center in
Heath. Born July 28, 1912, in Toboso, she was the daughter of the late
Theodore and Lydia (DeLong) Lake. She married Russell W. Lescalleet, who
preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 1987. Mrs.  Lescalleet was a graduate of
Toboso High School. She was a former employee of Continental Can Company of
Newark and a homemaker. She was a member of the Toboso United Methodist
Church and the Ladies Aid Society of the church. Mrs. Lescalleet is survived
by two sons, Leland Lescalleet and wife Hazel of Newark and David Lescalleet
and wife Cheryl of Nashport; two grandsons, Adam and Ryan Lescalleet of
Nashport; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Lescalleet of Portland Ore,. and
several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband she was
preceded in death by four brothers, James, Earl, Orville, and Bernard Lake;
and six sisters, Cora Simpson, Margie Varner, Eva Nethers, Eura Romine,
Gladys Westbrook and Nellie Holmes.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2
pm.. Thursday at the Vensil & Orr Funeral Home, 110 Third St., Frazeysburg,
with the Rev. Don Moshgat officiating. Burial will follow in the Hanover
Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 pm. and 7 -9 p.m.  Wednesday at the
funeral home.  The family requests that memorial contributions be made to
