Bette B. Lake -MACON - Bette B. Lake, 80, died Friday morning at Heartland
Hospice Facility. Funeral services will be held at 11A.M., Monday at
Liberty United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The
Rev.  Bob Norwood and the Rev. Marty Watson will officiate. The family
will meet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Sunday at Snow's Memorial
Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue and suggest that memorial contributions be made
to the American Diabetes Association, Suite C, 5105 Paulsen Street,
Savannah 31405 or to Heartland Hospice Facility, 115 Arkwright Landing,

John Ed and Leone Ellis Beckham, was born in Lakeland, FL and educated
in Laurens County. Living in Macon since 1947, she was a homemaker and a
member of Liberty United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women,
the Bible Study Group and the Vinson Mahone Circle. Mrs. Lake was the
mother of the late Debra Lake Garland. -Survivors include her husband of
sixty-one years, Wallace M. Lake of Macon; her son, Steve Lake of Macon;
three grandchildren, Lori (Shawn) McGovern of Covington and Katie Lake
and McCree Lake, both of Macon; her brother, Brian (Virginia) Beckham
