Bettie Burgess, 72
Longtime Newtonville resident, homemaker

Bettie L. Burgess, 72, departed this life Saturday, Feb 21, 2004, in
the South Jersey Healthcare, Bridgeton Hospital.

Mrs. Burgess, daughter of the late James and Cora Leek Timpson, was born
on Oct 1, 1931 in Frederick, MD and was a longtime Newtonville resident.
She was a devoted homemaker and faithful servant to others as a member
of the Newtonville S.D.A. Church since 1965.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Charles; children, Brenda
Waldemar (Eric), Samuel Williams (Lucille), Marrinetta "Nita" Kelley
(Eugene), Delroy and Jeffrey; extended family, Theresa and Cleola Taylor,
Michael, Allan, and Jackie Farmer; six brothers; one sister; brothers
and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held 11 am Friday in the Newtonville SDA Church, Route
54 and 12th St., Newtonville, with the Rev Michael Edwards officiating.
Interment will be in the Brig. Gen. William C Doyle Veterans Memorial
Park.  Friends may call after 10 am Friday at the church.

Services entrusted to Edwards and Son Funeral Home Inc. Bridgeton
and Salem.
