Edmonton Journal; Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Sept. 26, 2014 JOSLIN, Betty Anne On Monday, September 22, 2014 Betty Anne (Bets) Joslin passed away at the age of 76 years, after a long battle with emphysema. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Dale, and by her children: Mari-Anne, Guy, Darren (Tara), Barbi (Louis) and Nadine (Dean) Forsyth; her grandchildren: Amanda, (Landon) Olivia, Jocelyn (Taylor), Tim, Dakota, Connor, Levon, Dylan, Duncan and Rose; her great-grandchildren: Kaydon, Autumn, and Jacob, as well as her sisters: Fran Ostashek and Evelyn (Harold) Dickhout. She was predeceased by her parents Stan and Eleanor Lake and her brother Mark Lake. Bets moved to Edmonton in 1956 and was later joined by her family. She worked as a teacher's aide for a number of years in Edmonton and Athabasca, once her own children were in school. Bets was a wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and mentor. We will miss her warm personality as well as her witty sense of humor. Bets welcomed and accepted everyone. A Memorial service for Bets will be held on Monday, September 29, 2014 at Richmond Park Church, 9340-69 Avenue, Edmonton, AB at 2:00 p.m. Thanks to her faithful family and friends and the prayer chain of the Leduc Community Baptist Church for ushering her into the presence of God.
