Published in The Daily Item on 9/21/2008 Sunbury PA DANVILLE - Betty L. (Robbins) Heddings, 81, of Danville, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Friday, Sept. 19, 2008. She was born Jan. 31, 1927, in White Deer, a daughter of the late Wilston and Cora (Prowant) Robbins. She was married to Graydon L. "Dick" Heddings who passed away on April 21, 1999. The couple married on Oct. 27, 1945 and had 53 happy years together. Betty loved children and was a babysitter to several. She was also a homemaker, but more than that Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Betty was Protestant by faith and attended Chillisquaque Presbyterian Church in Potts Grove. She is survived by her daughter, Alice Yeager of Danville; five grandchildren and their spouses, Randy and Selina Heddings of Danville, Deneen Moore of Mansfield, Robert and Judy Pequignot of Danville, Kevin "Scott" and Denise Yeager of West Windsor, N.Y., and Tammy Yoder of Middleburg; nine great-grandchildren; nine brothers, Henry Robbins of Danville, Raymond Robbins of Lewisburg, Franklin Robbins of Lewisburg, Jack Robbins of Danville, Samuel Robbins of Milton, Lee Robbins of Turbotsville, Larry Robbins of Dewart, Howard Robbins of Danville, and James Robbins of Milton; two sisters, Grace Meese of Milton, and Zona Walls of New Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Graydon A. "Butch" Heddings, and five brothers, Guy, Paul, Charles, Albert, and Walter Robbins. Family and friends are welcome to gather for a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton, where a funeral service to honor Betty's life will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery, Milton Memorial contributions may be made in Betty's name to the Chillisquaque Presbyterian Church, Route 642, Main Street, Potts Grove, PA 17865, or to Geisinger Hospice, 109 Woodbine Lane, Danville, PA 17821.
