Betty Lou JONES, 86, of Topeka (KS), passed away Wednesday, May 3 at
the Topeka Presbyterian Manor.  She was born July 12, 1919 in Wichita
(KS), the daughter of John G and Ludora HEARTE KILLE.  She was a charter
member of St David's Episcopal Church and served as the parish secretary
from the formation of the church, retiring in 1984.

She married LaRue W JONES in 1942.  He preceded her in death in 1976.
Survivors include a son, Thomas K JONES and his wife, Patricia L, of
Prairie Village KS; a daughter, Sally L BALLOU and her husband, Scott
E, of Topeka; four grandchildren, Christopher R JONES, Grant W JONES,
Hannah F BALLOU and Reese A BALLOU.

Mrs Jones will lie in state after 2:00pm Sunday, May 7 at Penwell-Gabel
Mid-Town Chapel.  A funeral service will be held at 10:30am Monday, May
8 at St David's Episcopal Church with burial to follow in Penwell-Gabel's
Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St David's
