   BETTY M. NORTHRUP
       Betty Maxine (Lake) Northrup, 62, of Sunfield went to join her
loving husand of 45 years, Richard, when she passed away Feb. 20, 1999
at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.
       She was born July 16, 1935 in Ionia, daughter of Foster and
Viola (Sprague) Lake. Mrs. Northrup married Richard O. Northrup Jan 2,
1954. She was employed at Mapes Furniture Store for several years and
most recently at the River Inn Adult Foster Care in Sunfield.
       Surviving are her son, Larry (Candy) Northrup of Lake Odessa:
daughters Linda Northrup of Lowell and Dolly (Mike) Sutherland of
Sunfield: several grandchildren, brothers Melvin and Lloyd: sisters,
Irene, Nora Jane and Jeanette and several nieces and nephews.
      She was preceded in death bu her husband, Richard, her parents,
brothers Austin, John B., and Foster Jr.: sister Pauline; son-in-law
L. Smith Jr. and grandson Kevin Lee Weitzel Jr.
      Services were Feb 25 at the North Plains Community Church, Ionia
with Rev. Robert Jourdan officiating. Arrangements were handled by the
Rosier Funeral Home, Mapes Fisher Chapel, Sunfield. Contributions ay be
made in care of the family in her memory.

Betty Maxine (Lake) Northrup of Sunfield, Michigan went to join her loving
husband Richard of 45 years Saturday. February 20, 1999 when she passed
away at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, MI at the age of 63. She was born July
16, 1935 in Ionia, Michigan, daughter of Foster and Viola (Sprague) Lake.
Mrs Northrup married Richard O. Northrup on January 2, 1954. She was
employed at Mapes Furniture Store for several years, and most recently at
the river Inn Adult Foster Care, in Sunfield MI. she was preceded in death
by her husband Richard, both her parents, Foster and Viola. Brothers,
Austin, John B. and Foster Jr., Sister Pauline, Son-in-law, Jack L. Smith
Jr., Grandson Kevin Lee Weitzel Jr. Surviving are one son, Larry (Candy)
Northrup of Lake Odessa, three daughters, Linda Smith of Saranac, Nancy
Northrup of Lowell, and Dolly (Mike) Sutherland of Sunfield, and several
grandchildren, two brothers, Melvin and Lloyd, three sisters, Irene, Nora
Jane and Jeanette, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be
held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 1999 at the North Plains Community
church, on 4022 Olmstead Road, Ionia, MI with Rev. Robert Jourdan
officiating. The family received their friends on Tuesday and Wednesday
from 6-8 p.m. at the Rosier Funeral Home, Mapes-Fisher Chapel, Sunfield
Michigan. For those wishing, contributions may be made in care of the
family in memory of Mrs Betty M. Northrup.
