Published in the Winston-Salem Journal on 11/6/2005. Winston-Salem NC Mrs. Beulah Ann Lakey Eaton, 87, of Winston-Salem (Davidson County) died Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was a homemaker and was born Aug. 27, 1918, in Yadkin County to the late Thomas R. and Melinda Head Lakey. Also preceding her in death were her loving granddaughter, Donna Lynn Eaton, and six brothers, Grayson, Harvey, Avery, Hampton, Warren G. and Grady Lakey. Surviving are her devoted husband of 68 years, Barney Taylor Eaton; a daughter, Phyllis Mackie, and husband Roger of Davidson County; two sons, Don Eaton and wife Emily of Advance and Kenneth Eaton of the home; two grandsons, Mark Eaton and wife Annette of Advance and Eric Eaton and wife, Celeste of Columbus, N.C.; two great-grandsons, Grant and Alex Eaton; several nieces and nephews; also a special little young lady, Desiray Simmons. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Tim Gammons officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight, Nov. 6, at the funeral home.
