New London Day; New London CT Beverly Miner Norwich - Beverly Ann Miner, 74, of Rogers Road, died Monday at home. She was born on May 12, 1927, in Boston, the daughter of the late Hollis Edward Lake and Theresa Delpedio Lake of Malden, Mass. She married Philip L. Miner on Oct. 18, 1958, in St. John's Church in Montville. Mrs. Miner attended the First Congregational Church in Norwichtown. She was a member of the Yantic Fire Department Women's Auxiliary. Mrs. Miner enjoyed ceramics, tennis, and wild birds, especially cardinals. She also had a fascination with royalty. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by three sons, Philip L. Miner Jr. of Manhattan, N.Y., Brian E. Miner of Fairfield, and Michael H. Miner of Norwich; a sister, Laraine Welch of Bedford, N.H.; and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Edward H. Lake. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Congregational Church, Town St., Norwichtown. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Norwich. Calling hours are 5-8 tonight at the Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich.
