Bonnie Rice, age 86, of New Miami, passed away in Community Care, Sunday,
August 27, 2000, at 10:15 p.m. She was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on
October 12, 1913, the daughter of George and Lottie (Isaacs) Lakes. Bonnie
was a member of the Happy Corner Pentecostal Church. On March 26, 1932, in
Jackson County, Kentucky, she was married to James G. Rice, and he preceded
her in death in 1978. 
She is survived by one daughter, Joyce and her husband, Harold Webb of
Trenton; one brother, Denver Lakes of Hamilton; one sister, Reba Lainhart
of Hamilton; five grandchildren, Bonita, Kim, Krista, Mike and Harold
"Chip", and also by a number of great and great-great grandchildren. She
was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Manford and Adrian; two
brothers, Dewell and Virgil; four sisters, Mayme Lakes, Geneva Gabbard,
Mayfrey Lakes, and Edna Lakes; and by one granddaughter, Karla Howard.
Funeral services will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350
Millville Avenue, Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Greenwood
Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, Thursday from 1:00
p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
