 Brett Lake, 14, of Springport died Wednesday, June 16, 1999, in Sparrow
Hospital, Lansing.
 He was born Sept. 28, 1984, in albion to Donald L. and Wendey (Mowrer) Lake.
 He was a student at Springport Middle School, where he played softball at
Rice Creek, baseball, basketball and football as a quarterback.  He was on the
honor roll many times since fourth grade.
 Surviving are his parents; a brother, Ryan of Springport; paternal
grandparents, Bernello "Bub" and Sue Lake of Springport; and maternal
grandparents, Paul and Fran Mowrer of Parma.
 Community Involvement/hobbies:  Member of North Parma United Mthodist
Church.  He was made an organ donor.
 Visitation:  11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at Springport High School.
 Services:  2 p.m. Monday at the high school with the Revs. Robert Doner and
Carolin Spragg officiating.
Burial:  Clarence Center Cemetery.
Memorials:  Springport High School Athletic Department or Academic Department.

Arrangements:  Tidd-Williams Funeral Chapel, Albion.
