TOLUCA - Burdette A. Lake, 87, of Toluca passed away Monday, November 21,
2016, at 12:05 a.m. at Heritage Health in Minonk. Cremation rites have
been accorded. Graveside services will held Saturday, December 3, 2016,
at 11 a.m. at the Dana Cemetery. Donna Baker will officiate.Memorials
may be made to the Minonk Methodist Church or the charity of the donors'
choice.Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home in Toluca is in charge of
arrangements.Burdette was born March, 31, 1929, in Manville, IL, to Ira Ralph
and Maude M. (Berge) Leonard. She married Gordon K. Lake on August 24, 1947,
at the Dana United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on January
3, 2001. Surviving are her sister, Lila Klendworth of Dana; sister-in-law,
Wanda Santelman of Minonk; brother-in-law, Norman Lake of Bettendorf, Iowa;
many nieces and nephews; her Goddaughter, Kassandra Overocker of Toluca;
and special friends, Bob and Kathy Baldwin of Toluca.  Her parents, three
sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.  Burdette was a member
of the Minonk Methodist Church. She will be remembered for working at the
grocery store in Toluca and the Toluca Lanes. She loved to play cards and
bowl. The family would like to make a special thank you to the staff of
Heritage Health in Minonk for all the care given to Burdette.
