Published in The Express Times on June 28, 2011 Easton, PA Carl R. Raub, 85, of Forks Township, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2011 in Gracedale. Born: December 30, 1925 in Easton, he was the son of the late William H. and Bessie M. Scull Raub. Personal: He and his wife, the former Marlene Moore, celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on August 1, 2010. Carl retired in 1988 from Pfizer where he was employed for 38 years. He served with the Army during World War II in the European and Pacific Theatres. As a youth, Carl served with the Civilian Conservation Corps. Carl was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Memberships: He was a life member of Order of Fleas, Inc., and a member of Rice Ebner American Legion Post #588. Survivors: In addition to his wife Marlene, are four sons, William L. and his wife Carole, of Auburn, FL, David C., of Titusville, FL, Robert A. and his wife Vicki, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jeffrey J., of Fombell, PA; a daughter, Diane S. Schlegel and her husband Herbert, of Bethlehem Township, PA; a brother, Walter, of Sylmar, CA; 13 grandchildren, Kevin and Timothy Raub, Sandy Lepore, Jason, Matthew and Lindsay Raub, Chrissy, Joshua, Sean, Kyle and Jamie Raub, and Justin and Emily Schlegel; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, William and Herbert. Services: A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton St., Wilson Borough.
