Simpson, Carla
Carla Sue Simpson, 62, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008,
at the local hospital.  Mrs. Simpson, a native of St. Joseph, was born
Sept. 8, 1946, to Carl and Doris Simpson.  She attended Neely Elementary
and was graduated from Lafayette High School in 1964.  She worked
at Peachtree Door until its closing and later retired from Friskies.
Carla enjoyed painting, antiquing, playing slots and her dog, Chloe.
Her parents, Carl and Doris Simpson preceded her in death.  Surviving are
a son, Jimmy Lake, and wife, Kristy; granddaughters, Brandie, and fiance,
Corey; and Whitney; and a great-granddaughter, Taylor, all of Maryville,
Mo.; sister, Naomi Orozco, St. Joseph; and nieces, nephews, cousins and
many friends, who loved her dearly.  The service will be 2 p.m. today
at Clark-Sampson Funeral Home, St. Joseph, with cremation following the
