Woman, 81, dies in head-on crash in Sabre Springs 

SAN DIEGO 

An 81-year-old motorist died of injuries she suffered in a Tuesday afternoon collision in Sabre Springs, San Diego police said. 

Carol Crow was westbound on Poway Road, but after she crossed Sabre Springs Parkway, she veered into the eastbound lanes. She continued for about a
quarter of a mile, then her 2007 Volkswagen Passat collided head-on with a 2008 Cadillac CTS about 2:20 p.m., police said. 

Crow suffered major injuries and was taken to a trauma center by paramedics. She died about five hours after the crash, according to the county Medical
Examiner's Office. 

The Cadillac driver, a 72-year-old man, complained of pain, police said.
