Celeste was born August 14, 1916, in New Haven, CT., to P D and Blanche
Babcock, joining older siblings Ruth and Lawrence.  She died peacefully
on May 17, 2009 at her home in Port St. Lucie.  Celeste grew up in
Milford and Windsor Locks, CT. and lived most of her married life in
Bethlehem, PA.

She settled in Port St. Lucie in 1978 with Simon (Dick) Lake III, her
husband of 40 years.  She was active in PEO and enjoyed oil painting
and playing bridge.  Celeste was a member of Morningside Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband but is survived by her four
sons:  Peter Lake of Vero Beach, FL.; George Lake of Culpeper, VA.;
Jeffrey Lake of Grant-Valkaria, FL.; Richard Lake of Port St. Lucie. FL,
as well as numerous grand and great-grandchildren.

SERVICES: On Thursday, May 21, 2009, Visitation is planned for 10
a.m. and a Memorial Service fo 11:15 a.m., at Aycock Funeral Home in
Jensen Beach, FL.  Located at 950 NE Jenson Beach Blvd.  Burial rites
will follow at the family plot at nearby All Saints Cemetery, 2303 NE
Seaview Drive, Jensen Beach.
