From The Poughkeepsie Journal Sept, 17, 1998 Charity Pryor Lake, machine operator HYDE PARK Charity Pryor Lake, 65, a lifelong area resident, died Tuesday at home. She was a machine operator at Daystrom in Poughkeepsie before retiring. Previously, she worked for Harts Manufacturing and J.L. Petz, also in Poughkeepsie. She was a member of the Vail Wolff Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 170 Ladies Auxiliary of Poughkeepsie. Born Dec. 3, 1932, in Poughkeepsie, she was a daughter of Ernest Robinson and Kitty Robinson Halstead. Survivors include her longtime companion, Robert R. Lake at home; two sons, David Pryor of South Carolina and Ralph Pryor of Athens, Greene County; two stepdaughters, Diana Vangor of Hyde Park and Sandra Angelo of Poughkeepsie; a stepson, Robert Lake of Florida; a brother, Bob Robinson of Hyde Park; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Ernest and Edward Robinson, died previously. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Sweet's Funeral Home Inc., Route 9, Hyde Park. The Vail Wolff auxiliary will conduct services at 7. Services are at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Carl Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Hyde Park.
