Charles Bennett "Ben" Lake, 41, of Lexington, formerly of Ashland,
died Tuesday, June 26, 2001.

Born in Louisville, KY., he was the son of Edward and Dee Bennett Lake. He
was a project manager for Ashland Inc.; a gradate of Russell High School;
Transylvania University; and a member of Sigma Nu fraternity.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Wells Lake, a Floyd County native.

Survivors,other than his wife and parents, include one son, Drew Lake; two
daughters Allie and Emily Lake, all of Lexington; a sister Laurie Lake of
Texas; one brother Peter Lake of Virginia Beach, Va.; and three nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 29, 11;30 a.m., at
the W.R.  Milward Mortuary-Southland, Lexington, with Rev. Robert Shaw
officiating.

Interment will be in the Lexington Cemetery.
