"Jack" Lake, 85, 410 Wiley Ave., Rocky Grove, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000 at Sugarcreek Station. He was born in Waterloo, Iowa, Sept. 3, 1914, son of the late Dale and Pauline Watkins Lake. He graduated from Townville High School. He was employed as a refinery worker for Wolf's Head Refinery. He was a member of the Titusville Masonic Lodge, New Castle Consistory, The Washington Club in Franklin, and was a 32 degree Mason. He was also a member of the Fox Street Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Irma M. Coe, who died on Nov. 22, 1998; two brothers, Harry Oakley Lake and Frank Lake; and a setpbrother, Howard Proper. Survivors include a son, Clifford E. Lake and his wife, Nancy, of Dempseytown; a daughter, Cheryl L. Lake, of Franklin; six grandchldren, Kelly Warnberg, Mrs. William (Erin) Nugent, Mrs. Jeffery (Dawn) Davis, Lance Graham, Billy Graham, Mrs. Bill (Robin) Fuhrmann; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Dale B. Lake and his wife, June of Winterhaven, Fla.; and a sister, Mrs. Fred D. (Charlene) Huckins of Dudnee, Fla. Friends may call at Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St., Franklin, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and may attend a service there at 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Brenda Aughenbaugh of the Fox Treet Church of God officiating. Burial will be at the Townville Cemetery at Townville.
