Times Herald (Norristown, PA) Oct. 10, 2002 Charles H. Lake, a farmer, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at the Central Montgomery Medical Center in Lansdale. He was 87. Mr. Lake, of Whitpain for 76 years, worked as a farmer, raising strawberry and pumpkin crops. He also worked as a bus driver for the Wissahickon School District. He was a graduate of the former Whitpain High School. Mr. Lake was the husband of the late Virginia E. "Ginny" (Woodland) Lake for more than 37 years. Born Sept. 22, 1915, in Villanova, he was a son of the late Charles J. G. and Gertrude J. (Burdett) Lake. Surviving are a daughter, Kathryn Lake of North Wales; a brother, Joseph of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Lake was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur. A graveside service will be private in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funerl Home, Lansdale.
