Culpeper Star Exponent; Culpeper VA; 2007-5-16 Charles James Lake, 76, of Culpeper celebrated a reunion with his Savior on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born July 19, 1930 in Syracuse, New York to the late James Charles Lake and Clara Chapman Lake. Mr. Lake was a member of the New Life West Church in which his true passion was living for the Lord. He led others to know Jesus Christ and did spiritual work through prison ministry. He volunteered throughout the Culpeper community at the Food Bank, the Pregnancy Center, and was a board member of the Salvation Army participating in the Boys and Girls Club. He is survived by his three children, James Charles Lake and his wife, Barbara of Baldwinsville, NY, Patricia Parsons and her husband, Philip of Camillus, NY, and Laurie Lake-Green and her husband, Dwayne of Culpeper. Additional survivors include his siblings Charlotte Casolare of Palm Harbor, FL, Robert Lake of Syracuse, NY, Joanne Hudson of Bath, NY, Lola Stanard of Auburn, NY, Barbara Hudson of Lititz, NY, seven grandchildren, Chrissy Lake, Victoria Lake, Rachael Parsons, Jessica Parsons, Autumn Lake, Nathaniel Lake, and Rebecca Green. In addition to his parents, he is joining his beloved wife of forty two years in Heaven, Veronica Lee Lake. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 17, 2007 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following starting at 7 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. Pastor Eugene Logan will be officiating. Interment will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Jacksonville Rural Cemetery in Baldwinsville, New York.
