Lake, 41, of Newark, will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, Newark, with the Rev. Robert L. Knox officiating. Cheryl was born March 7, 1966, in Newark, to Richards L. and Emma M. Lake, and passed away because of car accident early morning Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, in Hanover. Cheryl was a graduate of Newark High School and was employed by The Advocate and The Columbus Dispatch in the circulation department. She will be remembered by her two children, Brad Thomas Lake and Monica Margaret Lake, both of Newark, as a very loving, hardworking and determined mother. Her sense of humor never will be forgotten by family and many friends. In addition to her parents and children, Cheryl is survived by a brother, Lynn (Junette) Lake, of Newark. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma and Shannon. Friends may call before the service from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 179 Granville St., Newark.
