Chiquita  Lake 

Chiquita Lake of  Largo, Fla., died Dec. 5 at Pinellas Nursing Home
in Largo.  She was 94.  She was born Jan. 28,  1911, in Columbus, Ohio.
A former longtime  resident of Evanston, all of her children attended
Central Elementary  School, Nichols Middle School and Evanston Township
High School.

Mrs. Lake was employed  at Evanston Hospital. After her retirement
in 1982, she moved to North Redington  Beach, Fla., where she was a
volunteer teacher at Mediera Beach Middle School.  She also volunteered
for Meals on Wheels.  Formerly a member of  St. Luke's Episcopal
Church in Evanston, she transferred to Calvary Episcopal  Church in
Indian Rocks Beach, Fla.  She was preceded in  death by her husband,
James E. Lake Sr., a son, James E.  Jr., and a daughter,  Chiquita.
Survivors include son  Richard of Largo, and daughters Diane Lake of
Clearwater, Fla., and Geraldine  Lyle of Venice, Fla.  Funeral services
were  private.  Interment will take  place in the spring of 2006 in the
family plot at Memorial Park Cemetery in  Skokie.  Arrangements were
handled by E. James Reese Funeral Home and Crematory in Seminole, Fla.
