Published in The Herald on Nov. 12, 2014 Everett, WA Christi Lynn Lakey Filori Obituary Dec. 30, 1963-Oct.28, 2014 Christi Filori of Arlington, Wash, passed away on October 28, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. Her friends and family where at her side. Christi was born in Everett, Washington to Gary Lakey and Evonne Carlson. She attended Lake Stevens and Arlington High School and graduated from Everett Community College. After many years of friendship, Christi married her husband and caregiver, John R. Filori in 1994. Christi was a lead and vocational consultant at Village Community Services for 14 years. She enjoyed the love and challenges of her many diverse clients. "It wasn't a job, it was a joy!" She will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Everett Providence Hospital, Providence Hospice and Cancer Partnership for the wonderful care. Also we would like to especially thank the many extended family and friends for all your loving support and care during these last difficult weeks. Christi is survived by her husband, John; her mother, Evonne (Glen) Carlson; her father, Gary (Grace) Lakey; brother, Curt Lakey; and dogs, Yager and Blue. She was preceded in death by her grand parents and her best K9 friend, Oscar. There will be a celebration of life on November 15, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at Bryant Community Church. 26830 53rd Ave N.E. Arlington, WA. In honor of Christi, if desired, please wear Seahawk or Hello Kitty attire. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Providence Hospice.
