CHASE, Christina Mae - 85, Waterville, Kings Co., died October 14, 1999,
in the Evergreen Home For Special Care, Kentville. Born in Kempt Shore,
Hants Co., she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Beulah (Baldridge)
Lake. She had been a substitute teacher in Kempt Shore prior to her
marriage, and then worked for Minas Basin Vegetable Packing, the
Berwick Fruit Company, the Canning Factory, Waterville; Avon Foods,
Port Williams; and the Berwick Bakery. She was a good mother and was kind
hearted. Surviving are husband, Russell; son, Edward, Mississauga, Ont.;
daughters, Rosie Reid, Waterville; Jeanie Lightfoot, Cambridge; Mary Lou
Little, Waterville; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. She was
predeceased by sister, Eulah Robar; grandson, Brian Chase; great-grandson,
Tyson Reid. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral 2 p.m. Monday,
both in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Berwick. Burial in the Berwick
Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Waterville United
Baptist Church, the Alzheimer Society, or the Evergreen Home for Special
Care, Kentville.

CHASE

1999, in the Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born in Kempt Shore,
Hants Co., she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Beulah (Baldridge) Lake. She
had been a substitute teacher in Kempt Shore prior to her marriage, and then
worked for Minas Basin Vegetable Canning Factory in Waterville, Avon Foods in
Port Williams and the Berwick Bakery. She was a good mother and was kindhearted.
She was a member of the Waterville United Baptist Church. Surviving are her
husband, Russell; son, Edward, Mississauga, Ont.; daughters, Rosie Reid (Ricky
Miller), Waterville; Jeanie Lightfoot, Cambridge; Mary Lou Little, Waterville;
15 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Eulah
Robar; grandson, Brian Chase; great-grandson, Tyson Reid. Visitation was Sunday,
October 17, 1999 and the funeral service was Monday, October 18,1999 both in the
H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Berwick. Reverend Judith Saunders officiated.
Burial was in the Berwick Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Waterville
United Baptist Church, the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or to the Evergreen
Home for Special Care, Kentville.
