Spectrum Sunday, May 16, 2004 St George UT CLAIRE JOSLIN Cedar City -- Claire Lakey Joslin, age 85, passed away at her home in Cedar City with her family by her side. Born January 4, 1919 in Lewiston, Idaho to Mae Hardin and Lewis Crawford Lakey. Married Douglas T. Joslin on August 19, 1938 in Moscow, Idaho. Claire was a member of the LDS Church. She served as the Stake Primary President, and as the director of homemaking for many years. She enjoyed sewing and traveling, loved to teach (especially dance), and painted with water colors. She was the loving mother of six, " none in jail ", who had a great sense of humor to the end. Claire is survived by husband Doug of Cedar City; children Judy (Mark) Joseph of Centerville, Mass., Dan (Mary) Joslin of New Harmony, Utah, fred (Ellie) Joslin of St. George, Utah, Nancy (David) DeMartini of Nevada City, Calif., Peggy (Mike) Kidd of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Billy (Dee Ann) Joslin of Petaluma, Calif; brother Johnny Benge of California; sisters Judy Hansen and Peggy Benson both of Idaho; 30 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and two siamese cats, Polo and Katie. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. Graveside services will be held Monday, May 17, 2004 at 1:00 PM in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary.
