Mrs Lake had been a secretary for Western Power. She was born Oct 7, 1911, at Meade (KS), the daughter of David and Anna DETTINGER WILLIAMS. She was a Great Bend resident since 1943, moving from Wichita (KS). Mrs Lake was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Rebecca Lodge, Golden Sheaf No 226 Order of Eastern Star and Business and Professional Women, all of Great Bend. She married Howard LAKE on Dec 24, 1934, at St John. He died July 8, 1967. Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte KINZEL, Great Bend; a son, David LAKE, Topeka (KS); a brother, Edward W WILLIAMS, Canon City CO; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:30am Friday at Bryant-Christians Chapel, Great Bend. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may visit from 9am to 9pm today and from 9am to service time Friday at the funeral home. A Great Bend resident since 1943, moving from Wichita. She was a secretary at Western Power. She belonged to First Presbyterian Church, Rebecca Lodge, Golden Sheaf No. 226 Order of Eastern Star, BPW, and other civic organizations, all at Great Bend. On Dec. 24, 1934, she married Howard Lake at St. John. He died July 8, 1967. Survivors include: a son, David, Topeka; a daughter, Charlotte Kinzel, Great Bend; a brother, Edward W. Williams, Canon City, Colo.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna R. Tegner and Arvella Williams. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bryant-Christians Funeral Home, Great Bend, with the Rev. Tom Robson presiding.
