Published in The Express Times from Dec. 17 to Dec. 18, 2013 Easton, PA Claude D. Beck, Jr., 93, of Milford, NJ, died on Sunday, December 15, 2013, at his home. Born: in Uhlerstown, PA, he was the son of the late Claude D. Beck, Sr. and Gertrude Shuman Beck. Claude had been a resident of Milford for over 50 years. Personal: He was a kiln operator with Plesy Ceramics in Frenchtown for 49 years. He also worked as a driver for Eichlin Oil in Frenchtown and as a shuttle driver for Flemington Car and Truck Country. He was a US Army veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific. He was an avid hunter. Memberships: A longtime member of the Milford Presbyterian Church, Claude was a church trustee and served as church sexton. Survivors: He is survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth J. Hovey Beck; his beloved children, his son, and his wife Claude D. III and Debbie Beck of Nazareth, PA; his son and his partner, Lee A. Beck and Gary Franke of Solebury, PA; and his cherished granddaughter, Megan Beck of Nazareth. Services: Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
