Sudbury Star; Sudbury ON Canada; 2005-8-31 LAKE, David Bertram In loving memory of David Bertram Lake, 52 years of age. He lived in Plumas MB. He passed away August 10, 2005 at Neepawa Hospital. He was born in 1953 in Naudeville, Quebec. He lived in many areas across Ontario and settled in Sudbury, ON for many years. He married and had two daughters. He worked at the Sudbury Algoma Hospital for 25 years from which he retired. He remarried on January 10, 1990 to Valda (Berard), mother of two, and in 1998 moved to Plumas MB. Dave continued his studies in engineering sciences and worked at Springhill Farms as an engineer. Dave had many skills including carpentry and mechanics and enjoyed spending time in his workshop. He also enjoyed playing golf, fishing and hunting. Dave and his wife, Val spent many enjoyable hours renovating their home, continually renewing their landscape with beautiful displays of flowers, ponds and other craftwork. Beloved husband of Valda (Berard) Lake of Plumas. Loving father of Lynn Munari (husband Gianni) and Lori Jeffery (husband Michael) both of Sudbury. Stepfather to Rodney Diotte and Carolyn Wain (husband Albert) both of Plumas. Cherished grandfather of Kallista Jeffery, Matteo Munari, Leo and Albert Wain. Dear son of Henry B. Lake of Sudbury and Eva Wells, predeceased. Dear brother of Martha Draper (Lake), George (wife Amy), Henry "Jack" (wife Lise) and Winston (wife Lynn). Sadly missed by nieces and nephews. A small memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 1 at the Capreol Cemetery. Notes: David was an avid blood donor with 144 donations to his credit.
