David Kinzel 
GREAT BEND - David Kinzel, 68, died Oct. 4, 2006, at Taylor Hospice
House, Des Moines, Iowa.  He was born June 27, 1938, in Great Bend,
the son of August and Melvina Grow Kinzel. A longtime resident of
Great Bend, he was owner of Bud's Tire and Supply, St. Mary, and was a
salesman for Big A Auto Parts and Marmie Motors, both in Great Bend.
He belonged to the Catholic Community of Great Bend at St. Patrick.
On June 22, 1957, he married Charlotte L. Lake in Great Bend. She died
Aug. 25, 2001.  Survivors include: three sons, Mike, Des Moines, Monte,
Baxter, Iowa, and Stuart, Houston, Texas; a daughter, Lora Fuss, Pratt;
a brother, Lawrence, Great Bend; two sisters, Kitsy Rownd, Minneapolis,
Minn., and Lorraine Lovenstein, Grandview, Mo.; six grandchildren;
and a great-grandchild.  Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at
Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday
at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Great Bend, with Father Wesley Schawe
presiding.  Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral
home. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery.  Memorials may be sent to
the American Diabetes Association or Kidney Foundation, both in care of
the funeral home, 1425 Patton Road, Great Bend, KS 67530.
