Dean Lake

DAVENPORT -- Services for Dean L. Lake, Davenport, will be 1 p.m. Thursday
at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal, conducted by American Legion
Post 26. No visitation will be held. Mr. Lake died Saturday, May 26,
2001, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport, after an extended
illness. Halligan-McCabe-De Vries Funeral Home, Davenport, is in charge
of arrangements. He was employed as a truck driver for various trucking
companies in the Quad-Cities. He was born June 5, 1937, in Muscatine,
Iowa. He married Mary Eckstein in 1987 in Davenport. He was an Army
veteran. Survivors include his wife, Mary, children, Martha Cousins
and Mike, Steve, Brian and Mark Lake, seven grandchildren, children,
Ray and Kate Eckstein, Davenport, Debbie and Rex Ellis, Rock Island,
Randy and Candy Eckstein, Milan, Ill., Rick and Peggy Eckstein, Cedar
Rapids, Iowa, and Heather and Dan Fisher, Davenport, 10 grandchildren,
sisters, Amy Zybarth and Susie Flynn, both of Muscatine, and brothers,
Ray, Moline, and Albert, Muscatine.
