Reno Gazette-Journal; Reno NV; 2003-5-16 Debbie J. Lake of Sparks died May 8, 2003 at NNMC, while holding her eight year old daughter's hand. She was born Sept. 10, 1954 to Alton & Alice Miller and grew up in Jeffers, MN. She attended G.F.A.V. Technical Institute where she met and later married James N. Lake, her loving husband for the rest of her life. Debbie worked in the oil business in California for a number of years and eventually moved to Nevada. When Jennifer was born, she decided on becoming a nurse and received her degree in 1992. She worked as an RN at WMC for the next 11 years. Debbie was a caring mother and wife as well as a dedicated, compassionate nurse. She loved to cook, bake, garden and to tend to all the wild creatures that frequented her backyard. She is survived by her husband Jim; daughters Jennifer, 16 and Jessica, 8; her parents; three sisters and a brother, all of Jeffers, MN. We will miss you... Memorial services will be held at Washoe Medical Center's Mack Auditorium, Sunday May 18 at 2:00PM.
