The Chronicle Herald Thursday, Apr 18, 2013 Halifax NS Volume 65 Number 92 {Issue number confirmed} LAKE, Delta Marguerite - Summerville, passed away April 14th, 2013, in the QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born April 10, 1938, in Center Burlington, she was a daughter of the late Sydney and Freda (Mann) Walker. She was a wonderful mother and she dedicated over 40 years caring for her disabled son Michael, until she was no longer able. She is survived by daughters, Carolyn (Phillip) Smith, Summerville; Cindy (Leonard) Spencer, Lower Burlington; sons, Stephen (Mona), Brooklyn, and Michael, Waterville; sister, Hazel Archibald, Halifax; five granddaughters; five great-grandsons, and one great-granddaughter. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Stanley; brothers, Sydney Jr., Douglas and Walter; sisters, Phyllis Sanford and Wendy (in infancy). Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. Private graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 21st at 2 p.m. in Loyal Hill Cemetery, Summerville, with Pastor Betty Parker officating. A reception (open to all) to follow at 2:30 p.m. in Summerville Fire Hall. Family flowers only.
