The Capital; Annapolis MD; 2008-1-30 Dianna Helsel Dianna Lynn Helsel, 57, of Crownsville and previously of Millersville, died Jan. 28 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of complications from a surgery 13 years ago. Mrs. Helsel was born Nov. 16, 1950, in Baltimore County to Mary "Sue" Lake of Pasadena and the late James Lake. She graduated from Kenwood High School and earned an associate's degree from Anne Arundel County Community College. She worked for the Loral Corp., Harris Corp., Ford Aerospace, El-Tech in Westinghouse, and Deluxe Check Printers. She also worked with government contractors, which required her to have a high-level security clearance. She enjoyed collecting angels and researching genealogy. She was active in youth organizations such as Greater Glen Burnie Baseball and the Anne Arundel Gridiron Rebels. She was preceded in death by one son, Rick Helsel; and one brother, Gerald Lake. Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Richard "Pete" Helsel; one son, James Helsel of Pasadena; one brother, James Lake of Essex; and two grandchildren. Family and friends may visit from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, 1 Second Ave. S.W. in Glen Burnie. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Gardens of Faith Memorial Park.
