Worcester Telegram & Gazette; Worcester MA; 2009-9-28 Dolores Jayne (Austin) Lake, 80, of Shrewsbury, died peacefully September 26, 2009, after a long life of service to Jesus Christ. She was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Royer and Esther (Woods) Austin and later lived in Churchville, PA. Dolores is survived by her devoted husband, Rev. Richard J. Lake, Sr.; children Ric and Melanie Lake of Hatboro, PA; Mark and Cheryl Lake, Sr. of Northfield Falls, VT; Robin Lake of Londonderry, NH; Brian and Patricia Lake, Sr. of Shrewsbury, MA; and Kevin and Andrea (Lake) Walkup of Nashville, TN. Dolores was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Dolores was an accomplished doll maker. She worked for the Perkins School for the Blind as a Braille transcriber for many years. She was an organist and Sunday School teacher for over 50 years. A gathering time for family and friends will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. in Rice Memorial Baptist Church, 81 Lincoln Street, Northborough. A celebration of life will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough is directing the services.
