Published in The Daily Item on 4/8/2010. Sunbury, PA NORTHUMBERLAND, PA - Dolores M. Beck, 77, formerly of Sunbury, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Nottingham Village, where she had been a resident for several years. Dolores was born July 25, 1932, in Girardville, a daughter of the late George and Mary (Corotto) Panno. On May 12, 1956, she married Joseph H. Beck, who survives. She was a 1950 graduate of Girardville High School. Dolores was a life member of St. Monica Catholic Church, Sunbury. She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband of 53 years, she is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Donna M. and William G. Kern, of Selinsgrove, Debra A. and Ronald W. Gruneberg, of Winfield, and Kathleen M. Conrad and companion John J. Ziants, of Winfield; grandchildren, Lindsey B. and Chris J. Koek, Kristin J. Kern and companion Christopher Edwards, Scott A. Buchanan and fiancee Stephanie Pellick, Jayme C. and D. Benjamin Clark, Joseph L. Gardner, Stephanie L. and Justin D. Markley and Timothy A. Conrad Jr. and companion Jennifer Good; great-grandchildren, Jalyn M. Markley and Briana L. Buchanan; and two sisters, Betty Taylor, of Scranton, and Jean Kukla, of Bethlehem. Dolores was preceded in death by five sisters, Florence Panno, Victoria Durose, Rose Panno, Mary Wolfe and Anna Pinn. Friends and family may visit from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at St. Monica Catholic Church, 20 N. Front St., Sunbury, where a memorial Mass will follow at 11 with Father William T. Haviland as celebrant. A luncheon will follow in the Edison Hotel, 401 Market St., Sunbury. A private burial will be in All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Elysburg, at a later date.
