of Youngsville
Donald Charles Lake, Sr., 61, of Youngsville, died on August 8,
2010. Donald was born on August 26, 1948 in Broome County NY. Mr. Lake
was a veteran of the United States Marines and served in Vietnam. He was
also a Grand Knight with the Father James D. Campbell O.P. Council #13511
of the Knights of Columbus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10
o'clock Thursday morning, August 12, 2010 at Saint Eugene Catholic Church,
Wendell, NC. Burial will be held at 12 o'clock, Friday, August 13, 2010 at
the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Spring Lake, NC. Survivors include
his wife, Cynthia "Cindy" Vickery Lake; children, Donald Charles "Donnie"
Lake, Jr. of Smithfield, NC, Erin Kathleen Johnson of Raleigh, NC, Eric
Daniel Lake & wife Emmie of Yelm, WA and J.R.  Vickery of Wilmington, NC,
parents, Walter & Inez Christian Lake of Owego, NY; siblings, Mary Brink
of Nichols, NY, Shirley Lake of Owego, NY, Robert Lake & wife Eileen
of Sanford, NC and Barbara Cicchelli & husband Joe of Pittsburg, PA;
Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold & Barbara Vickery of Laurens,
SC and four grandchildren.  Memorial contributions may be made to the
Father James D. Campbell O.P. Council #13511 of the Knights of Columbus,
460 Fox Park Road, Louisburg, NC 27549 or to Saint Eugene Catholic
Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 188, Wendell, NC 27591. The family will
receive friends from 7-8:30 PM, Wednesday evening, August 11, 2010 with
