The Daily Journal Vineland NJ August 19 - 20, 2009 Donald Gene Robbins Jr., 62 Showboat dealer; Army veteran Donald Gene Robbins Jr., 62, of Fort Pierce, Fla, passed away Saturday Aug. 15, 2009, at his residence. Born in Camden to Margaret (Lambert) and the late Donald Robbins, Sr., Donald was a longtime resident of the Buena area before moving to Florida 14 years ago. A graduate of Vineland High School and Stockton State College, Don was a self-employed investor and dealer for the Showboat Hotel and Casino. Don served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, holding the rank of SP4 (T) before his honorable discharge. He was a member of the American Legion in Buena and in Florida. Don enjoyed fishing, flea markets and auctions, and worshipped in the Indian River Presbyterian Church while living in Florida. Donald is survived by his wife, Deborah L. Robbins of Fort Pierce; son, Don and his wife Janine Robbins of Deerfield; his mother, Margaret Robbins of Millville; stepsons, John and Jeanene Beck of Egg Harbor City, Michael Beck of Fort Pierce and James Beck of Egg Harbor Township; grandchildren, Korin Robbins, Donald Robbins Jr. and Mason Beck; two sisters, Patricia Cornatzer and her husband Howard of Vineland, and Margo Bygrave and her husband James of Barnesville, W. Va.; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral home visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday with services beginning at 11 a.m. at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 E. Chestnut Ave., Vineland. Interment will follow in Absecon United Methodist Church Cemetery, Church Street, Absecon. Arrangements are under the supervision of Rone Funeral Service, 1110 E. Chestnut Ave., Vineland.
