From The Times Herald (Norristown, PA), Sat. Nov. 18, 2000 Donna Lee (Lake) Barrett, a former teacher, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, at her Alexandria, VA, home. She was 55. Mrs. Barrett, formerly of Plymouth Valley, worked for the Norristown Area School District, teaching at Burnside Elementary, Paul Fly Elementary, and Penn Square Elementary schools. She graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor of science in elemetary education and earned her master's of elementary education from West Chester University. Mrs. Barrett was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Alexandria, VA, and enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening. Born Oct. 6, 1945, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Mary Jo Lake of Norristown and the late Larkin W. Lake. Surviving with her mother are her husband, Lieutenant Colonel Alfred F. Barrett; a daughter, Alissa Reine of Alexandria, VA; a brother, Larkin of Doylestown; two sisters, Linda Boyle of Satellite Beach, FL; and Marilyn Lake-DellAngelo of East Norriton; seven nieces and two nephews. A memorial service was held Wednesday at Christ Episcopal Church, Alexandria, VA. Interment will b at Arlington Cemetery.
