Edmonton Journal; Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Obituaries (01/06/05) LAKE, Donna Marjorie 16 October 1933 - 26 December 2004 On the 26th day of December 2004 Donna Lake of Carvel, Alberta passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior at Mesa, Arizona, in her 71st year. Left to cherish her memory is her loving family; her beloved husband, Cy,her daughter, Trudy, son-in-law, Kurt, grandchildren, Mark, Kirsten, Neil,Amy, Nick and Natasha. Also surviving her are her sisters Helen, Doreen and Irene, brother-in-law, Tom and sister-in-law, Val. Donna was predeceased by her darling son, Cy-Robert, her parents, Harold and Ruth McDonald and three brothers, Jimmy, Gayle and Ken. on a farm near Rabbit Lake, Saskatchewan, the family moved to Kelsey, Alberta where Donna received her education. Donna enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and while serving as a medic at Fort Nelson, BC, met and married Cy. Donna resigned from the RCAF for a career of motherhood, rearing two children, Trudy and Cy-Robert. Her husband's military career was mainly in Edmonton, with transfers to Germany, Toronto, Ont. and La Macaza, Quebec. Donna enjoyed traveling and as a result visited New Zealand, Indonesia, many countries in Europe and most provinces and states of North America. celebration of Donna's life was held at the Skyline Baptist Church, Mesa, Arizona, presided by Pastor Tony Pierce, on Tuesday, 28th of December 2004 following her cremation. Donna will be making her interment beside her son at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Edmonton, Alberta.
