Passed away Saturday evening June 8, 2002. Donna was born September 15,
1923 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Thomas and Mabel (Newell) Lake. She
was a 1941 graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School where she had been
a cheerleader.  She was employed for several years as a secretary with
the Kalamazoo County.  Donna loved antiques, and all crafts including
sewing, knitting and crocheting. On November 23, 1975 she was united in
marriage to J.D. Ramer who survives. Also surviving are her children,
Jack (Patty) Berner, Jr. of Portage, Jill Rynd of Kalamazoo, Susan (Rod)
Leversee of Kalamazoo, Julie (Gary) Mattison of Mattawan; 9 grandchildren;
5 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Marvel King of Clearwater, FL,
Dale (Faith) Uithoven of Whitehall, Sally (Bill) Pekel of Muskegon, Judy
(Garry) Antler of Oakton, VA; in-laws, Willard (Helen) Ramer of Lawton,
Hilda (Howard) Holston of California; several nieces and nephews. The
family will receive friends on Wednesday morning from 10-11am at the
LANGELAND Family Funeral Homes MEMORIAL CHAPEL 622 S. Burdick St. 343-1508
A Private Family Graveside Service will be held in Mt. Home Cemetery. In
lieu of flowers, memorials in Donna's memory may be directed to the
American Heart Association.
